“BIG FELLA”

Falls Creek, Victoria, Australia, 2017.

in 2017 mid Feb to mid March, I was up at Falls creek for an artist in residency.
I have painted 4 murals in total in 4 weeks. 

The video was from production of the main project “ BIG FELLA” it is Based on Falls creeks native insect “Bogong moth”.
Template species of night flying moth.
The moth’s name Bogong is derived from Australian Aboriginal dhudhuroa word Bugung, It’s believed to be meaning moth, and also a “big fella”
Witch I thought perfect name for the iconic water tank that hold fallscreek village water life line.

I also Got to paint few extra wall in Falls creek while I was in artist residency, at Husky Hotel, Diana Alpine lodge, and few public spaces.
